Practice in telecommunications includes legal assistance in tenders for the award of telecommunication frequencies, regulatory advice, consumer protection actions, unfair competition and abuse of dominant position, misleading advertising and legal advice in connection with the scope of the monopoly of the State-owned telecommunications company (ANTEL).

• Advice to a Latin American telecommunications services provider in a tender for the acquisition of a license to operate three broad-band PCS frequencies and to set up the network for the respective mobile phone system.
• Representation of a telecommunications services provider in its lawsuit against the State-owned telecommunications company. The complainant relied on the violation of the competition rules by the State-owned company.
• Representation of the Uruguayan shareholders in the sale of their stock-ownership of one of the two private mobile operators in Uruguay.
• Representation of several multinational companies in the approval of their products in Uruguay, including modems, receivers and transmitters.
• Advice to a British company in issues related to the delivery of IP-VPN, M2M, VoIP, internet access and unified telecommunications services.
• Regulatory advice to foreign companies which contemplate operations in Uruguay.
